Get to know Anjali

Anjali Sarker is a social entrepreneur with a passion for combining business, technology and social impact to build scalable solutions. She co-founded a startup that was featured in Forbes —Toilet+, when she was twenty years old. While studying business at the University of Dhaka’s Institute of Business Administration, she won The Global Social Venture Competition Asia-Africa for her social business plans. She then joined the Bangladesh Youth leadership center Ashoka. Currently, she is a Team Leader at BRAC Social Innovation Lab where she runs Innovation Fund for Mobile Money, a project bringing digital financial services to the doorsteps of 1 million rural women in Bangladesh. She also leads BoP lab in Bangladesh as part of the BoP Global Network. She has spoken at two TEDx events in Hong Kong and in the Netherlands on social entrepreneurship and innovation. She is a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum and has been recognized as one of the “Top 99 leaders under the age of 33” by Young Professionals in Foreign Policy and Diplomatic Courier magazine. She holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka and a Diploma in Social Innovation from Lund University Internet Institute.
