Fellows Gather for Aspen Ideas: Health

The 2019 New Voices Fellows joined over 1,000 attendees in Colorado this June for Aspen Ideas: Health. The four-day conference tackled health issues with session topics spanning from ethics in healthcare to technological medical frontiers. Several Fellows even led their own sessions, presenting and discussing issues with big names such as Leana Wen, former President of Planned Parenthood, and Dan Glickman, former US Secretary of Agriculture.

Check out some of the panels here:

"Criminalizing Bodies: Human Rights and Dignity"  (Tabitha Saoyo and Ghada Jabbour with Mia Birdsong)

"What Women Want: How Philanthrophy Can Best Support Women and Girls" (Monalisa Padhee with Courtney Martin and Lindsay Barari)

Fellows also participated in Undaunted: Stories from the Frontlines, where they shared personal stories of their experiences working and living in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
