Quratulain is a policy practitioner working extensively in rural and conflict-ridden areas of Pakistan. Her focus is gender inclusive development and conflict prevention. She is the first woman to join the Pakistan Airforce, and only Pakistani woman to serve in public service and the military. Quratulain holds an advanced degree from Oxford, and is currently working on the intersection of water, conflict, technology and gender. She has saved 24 minority religion sites in rural Punjab from illegal occupation, and was a core team member for the UN-World Bank flagship study, “Pathways for Peace: Inclusive approaches to preventing violent conflict”. She was named Build Peace Fellow 2017-18 and Oxford Global Leadership Initiative Fellow 2016.
