M.D for 16 years, Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng aka Dr T, is a globally renowned medical doctor and human rights defender, lecturer and a bestselling author of “Dr T: A Guide to Sexual Health and Pleasure”.

Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng is the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health.
She is an advocate for sexual and reproductive health rights (including adolescent health, transgender affirming health, abortions) with experience in legislative reform, policy, healthcare provision, and health communication. She recently oversaw the development of and launched Sentebale health app. She is the technical advisor for the app. She developed a facilitation manual “Health and Human Rights” and facilitates seminars to healthcare professionals across disciplines. She is a convener of caring for the carer retreat for healthcare workers who work on sexual and reproductive health.

She is co-chair of the O’Neil-Lancet Commission on racism, structural discrimination and global health. Dr T was named BBC Top 100 Woman 2021 and is widely published for example in Teen Vogue, The Guardian, The Lancet and Project Syndicate (with extensive global syndication) and has appeared on but not limited to Sky News, BBC, DW, SABC International.

Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng has featured in global campaigns and has successful collaborations such as ONE campaign, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, International Conference on Family Planning, Durex and Bayer.

Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng is Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown Law centre and is distinguished lecturer at O’Neil Institute for National & Global health law, and extraordinary lecturer at Stellenbosch University’s Africa Centre for HIV/AIDS Management.

She is an advisor, strategist, feminist visionary and pathfinder.
