1. Kennedy Odede Listed Among Top 100 Influential Kenyans

Aspen New Voices 2013 Fellow Kennedy Odede has been named among 100 most influential Kenyans of 2022. On January 3, Madonna visited Kennedy’s organization SHOFCO and on January 11 Kennedy was featured in the New York Times.

2. Agnes Igoye received an award at Uganda Diaspora

Aspen New Voices 2018 Fellow Agnes Igoye received an award at the 12th Annual Uganda Diaspora for her services and impactful work.

3. Ndidi Nwuneli at Davos

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos took place from January 16 – January 20 this year. 2018 New Voices Fellow and food security expert Ndidi Nwuneli spoke on a January 17 panel about African Food Panels. She then moderated a roundtable with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation President Mark Suzman on January 18.

4. Five New Voices Fellows Listed Alongside Malala and Dr. Raj Punjabi as Global Trailblazers

On January 25, NPR posted an article highlight 15 trailblazers. Drs. Esther Ngumbi (NVF ’15), Maymunah Kadiri (NVF ’21), Ifeanyi Nsofor (NVF ’18) Junaid Nabi (NVF ’18) and Maxwell Gomera (NVF ’18) were included.
