Fellows in the News: June 2023

1. Safura Abdool Karim, an Aspen New Voices 2020 Fellow, has been recognised by a YouTube-supported ranking list as a role model Senior Executive who is championing diversity, equity and inclusion within the corporate environment globally.

2. Ndidi Nwuneli, an Aspen New Voices 2018 Fellow was invited by the United Nations Secretary-General – H.E António Guterres to serve on the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement Lead Group.

3. Dr Andrés Constantin, an Aspen New Voices 2021 Fellow, has recently signed a contract with Brill Law to publish his first book, provisionally entitled “Religious Lawfare: Conscience-Based Claims and Liberal Democracies,” as part of their Global Health, Human Rights and Social Justice series.

4. Egerton Neto, an Aspen New Voices 2022 Fellow, spoke at the TEDxLSE on the topic of, “How to Deradicalize Your Grandparents“.

5. Adaeze Oreh, an Aspen New Voices 2019 Fellow, appointed as an Honourable Commissioner of Health at Rivers State Govt. Nigeria.

6. Announcing a significant milestone. Desmond Jumbam, an Aspen New Voices Fellow 2022, co-authored a compelling editorial for BMJ Global Health Journal, emphasizing the need to train surgical and anesthesia providers as advocates to advance global surgery policy.

7. Pashtana Dorani, an Aspen New Voices 2022 Fellow, received the prestigious “CEU Open Society Prize”.
