New Voices at Goalkeepers 2022

Goalkeepers is dedicated to accelerating progress toward the Global Sustainable Development Goals: using powerful stories, data, and partnerships to highlight progress achieved, and bring together a diverse range of leaders to address the world’s major challenges.

This year, three New Voices Senior Fellows will join Bill Gates, Melinda French Gates, Malala Yousafzi and nine other prominent speakers on stage during the fourth Goalkeepers event. Coinciding with the UN General Assembly, Goalkeepers 2022 will take place in New York City, 20 – 21 September.


DR. LINDIWE SIBANDA is a member of the second New Voices class of 2014. Since then, she has been an active alumni member. Dr. Sibanda is a leading global advocate for food and nutrition security. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Nestlé, where she advocates for sustainable food systems at a transnational level. Dr. Sibanda is also the Director and Chair of the African Research Universities Alliance. Read about Dr. Sibanda’s work in a recent Aspen Institute blog.

NDIDI NWUNELI was a 2018 New Voices Fellow. Ndidi is an expert on African agriculture and nutrition, philanthropy, and social innovation. Ndidi is the founder of LEAP, a nonprofit devoted to leadership, civics and ethics. Ndidi hopes to revolutionize the West African food system by building an agricultural landscape ecosystem to support development. Ndidi is a trusted advisor of the New Voices Fellowship and sits on the board of a number of prominent organizations, including the Rockefeller Foundation. Dr. TLALENG MOFOKENG was also a 2018 New Voices Fellow. Dr. Tlaleng is a doctor and advocate who currently serves as the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health. Dr. Tlaleng is an advocate for universal health access and adolescent health and wrote the book Dr. T: A Guide to Sexual Health and Pleasure.
