Sarah Owusu is an award winning Organisation Development and innovation specialist with a passion and 12-year track record in leading transformation. Her focus is organisational culture, systems change and creating the conditions for dialogue and breakthrough conversations. Her approach is participatory and human-centred allowing individuals, teams and organisations to tackle complexity with pragmatism and authenticity. She started her career at British Airways, leading a company-wide culture change programme focused on employee engagement and improving customer satisfaction. She established Cowrie Company in 2014, providing pioneering Organisation Development and Strategy approaches for organisational health and effectiveness. She now applies this expertise to the innovation space, co-founding the boutique innovation consultancy – InkDot – that helps organisations to stay relevant and future-focused. Clients include ABSA, Standard Bank, VALE, YBI, ideiaLab, Africa 2.0, Astraea Foundation, None On Record and Peace One Day. She is a deep thinker and writer, and has co-founded two storytelling platforms: We Will Lead Africa and Collateral Benefits. Both initiatives centre on shifting narratives, and bringing African voices to the global conversation about the future of Africa and the world. She received the 2014 Women4Africa award for Inspirational Woman of the Year, and in 2018 the global Organisation Development Network named her Emerging New OD Practitioner. She holds a MA in Philosophy, speaks English, Portuguese and Danish and is an Integral Coach.
